Whilst in the endless pursuit of the perfect punchline upon the cheesiest melody, Welly’s songs sweep up influences as close to home as Blur and Pulp and as far and wide as French ‘Chansons’ and Chicago House. But essentially, it’s dancey-punky-britpoppy stuff with Alan Bennet on the top. Lovely.
